Customized Interiors That Reflect Your Personality.
MonoraHomes
Residential Interiors

A home that remembers how you live, long before guests arrive.

Villas, luxury apartments, penthouses and custom homes — drawn, made and installed by one studio. We design for the way mornings begin, the way light moves at five o'clock, the way a house holds a family without asking too much of it.

Design philosophy

A quieter kind of luxury.

MonoraHomes are not designed to be admired the moment you walk in. They are designed to be lived in for ten years and still feel honest. Hand-finished joinery, materials that age with grace, and proportions drawn for the body — not for a photograph.

The hands that draw your plan also weigh the dovetail. That is why a Monora interior and a Monora piece feel like they belong to the same family — because they do.

What we design

Six typologies, drawn line by line.

We take on a small, considered number of residences each year — each one a complete brief, not a template.

  • 01

    Villas

Standalone homes with garden and pavilion logic; layered for staff, family and entertaining without the seams showing.

  • 02

    Luxury Apartments

High-rise residences where every square foot earns its place. We rework city plans into homes that breathe.

  • 03

    Penthouses

Crown floors with skyline views; we choreograph the day and night of the space, and the materials that hold up to it.

  • 04

    Custom Homes

Ground-up residences where architecture, interior and joinery are drawn together so nothing arrives as a compromise.

  • 05

    Heritage Restorations

Mid-century homes and family villas updated for the next generation without erasing what made them.

  • 06

    Holiday Homes

Quiet second residences in the hills, coasts or vineyards — built for stillness and easy upkeep.

Design process

From first sketch to a settled home.

Every residence moves through the same five stages — clear deliverables, a published timeline, and a single project lead you can call.

  1. 01

    Discover

We sit with you on site, listen for the unsaid, and translate ambition, constraints and lifestyle into a brief everyone signs.

  2. 02

    Design

Concept, layout and material direction emerge as one drawing — not three. We resolve every junction before the wall goes up.

  3. 03

    Material Selection

Stones quarry-tagged, wood grain-matched, fabrics sampled in your light. Every line item is yours to feel before it is yours to own.

  4. 04

    Execution

Civil, joinery, MEP and finishes move under one project lead with weekly reports — no back-and-forth between vendors.

  5. 05

    Delivery

A final styling pass, snag-list closure, walk-through and a 12-month aftercare envelope from the team that built it.

Turnkey, integrated

One contract. One studio. One key.

If you would rather not coordinate civil, joinery, MEP, FF&E and the styling pass yourself, we deliver the entire residence under a single turnkey agreement. You move in on the date we promise — with a 12-month aftercare envelope from the team that built it.

Under one signature

  • Civil, MEP and finishes managed under one project lead
  • Bespoke joinery and furniture from our own workshop
  • Procurement, install and final styling in one calendar
  • Weekly site reports with cost transparency on every line
  • 12-month aftercare from the team that built the home

Materials & craftsmanship

Materials with provenance. Detailing without shortcuts.

Every material we specify can be traced to a quarry, a mill, a weaver, or a workshop bench. The bill of materials is not a procurement list — it is a story your home will be made of.

Workshop-led specification
  • Solid hardwood joinery

Oak, walnut and teak — finger-joined, oiled, never veneered where it shows. Cut to dimension in our own workshop.

  • Natural stone

Italian marbles, Indian sandstones and basalts — honed, sealed and book-matched on the floor before they meet your wall.

  • Handwoven textiles

Indian cottons, Belgian linens and vegetable-tanned leathers, sourced through long relationships, not catalogues.

  • Architectural metals

Patinated brass, brushed bronze and blackened steel — mitred and clear-coated in-house for a finish that lasts.

  • Lime plaster & micro-cement

Hand-applied by craftsmen who have been working with our team for over a decade — soft, washable, and quietly luxurious.

  • Lighting, mocked up first

We rig and review every key fixture in the room before procurement — temperature, glare and shadow signed off in person.

Why Monora

Six commitments behind every residence.

We chose to keep design, joinery and execution under one roof for a reason — so the home you sign off in week one is the home you receive in week thirty.

  • 01

    One studio, beginning to end

Drawn, built and installed by people who sit in the same room. No translation losses between design and site.

  • 02

    Personalised design

A studio principal works on your project — not a template adapted from a previous home.

  • 03

    Workshop-led joinery

Our own woodworking floor, our own joiners, our own quality checks. Not a procurement spreadsheet.

  • 04

    Honest budgets

Quoted line by line — including the lines other studios shift to 'variations'. No silent overruns.

  • 05

    Weekly transparency

Published Friday reports, a project lead on call, and an open snag-list you can see in real time.

  • 06

    12-month aftercare

We return to settle the home after monsoon, after summer, after the first guests. Wear-in is part of the brief.

Client voices

What residents tell us, after the dust settles.

  • Monora drew the home around how my children actually live, not how I once imagined they would.

    Anjali R.

    Villa owner · Bengaluru

  • The snag list closed before I had to ask. Every door in the house closes with the same sound.

    Vikram & Sneha M.

    Penthouse residence · Mumbai

  • Friday site reports arrived for nine months. I never lost a night's sleep over the build.

    Dr. Karthik M.

    Custom home · Hyderabad

Questions, answered

Residential, frequently asked.

  • What size residences do you take on?

We design apartments from 1,500 sq ft and villas up to 25,000 sq ft. Our sweet spot is a complete residence with bespoke joinery — typically between 2,500 and 12,000 sq ft of finished interior.

  • How long does a typical residential project take?

Design takes 4–8 weeks depending on size. On-site execution runs 12–32 weeks, again depending on scope. Turnkey villas usually fall between 6 and 9 months from kickoff to handover.

  • Can you work on a home we are already living in?

Yes — phased renovations and resident-in-place fit-outs are part of the practice. We sequence joinery off-site so the workshop hours happen elsewhere, and only finishing visits the home.

  • Do you offer turnkey delivery for residential clients?

Yes. Under a turnkey contract we manage civil, MEP, joinery, lighting, FF&E and styling under a single project lead. You receive a settled home, not an empty shell waiting on five vendors.

  • How do you price residential interiors?

Indicative per-sq-ft ranges are published on our packages page. The final quote is line-by-line after the design intent is locked — every imported material, custom piece and finish is itemised.

  • Can custom furniture be designed exclusively for our home?

Yes, this is most of what we do. Beds, dining tables, joinery, lounge seating and lighting can all be designed and built for your residence from our workshop.

  • Do you work outside Bangalore?

We design across India. Our workshop is in Bangalore; logistics, on-site supervision and a resident project lead are arranged for any city we work in.
